I can’t believe how much we drunk tonight.
The first couple of friends came to visit us in our new home. They came in the late afternoon, just in time for the aperitif. They brought a nice bottle of wine. I’ve also bought a couple of bottles for their visit. We ended up drinking all of them. On the roof terrace the weather was just perfect, a fresh and calm evening with a gentle breeze. The kind of evening that encourages dense happy chatting. We ate some salami, some mozzarella, some olives, and when we finished all the wine and food at our place, we walked down to Osteria Fernanda, where we had an amazing dinner with another two bottles of wine. Five bottles between four people. I can’t believe how much we drunk tonight.
By the way, I took this shot from the terrace. It’s a view of the kitchen through its window. In the background there’s the dining room. I probably took this shot in the exact moment we finished the wine.
