The IEEE International Conference on Biomedical Robotics and Biomechatronics this year is being held in Rome, in the beautiful Angelicum of the Università Pontificia. The organizer is my University, Campus Bio-Medico, and in particular my Professor, Eugenio Guglielmelli. He’s very good at this sort of things, hence the congress came up great.
For the seniors, the registration to the congress included the social dinner. Prof. Guglielmelli and his team organized it at the Open Colonna Restaurant, which towers the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, right in the city center. The architectonics of the place is just gorgeous, kind of North European concept integrated with the typical (and pre-existent) Italian neoclassicism. The result is unique. The food is also great. The cook is the famous Antonio Colonna, a guy with a CV impressively long, that has this restaurant as his masterpiece.
It was absolutely the best social dinner I ever had, both in terms of food and drink quality and of beauty of the place. The Italian music played by a band of University students was just the ice on the cake.
Very swanky looking place!
super swanky, one of the swankiest 😉
