After a whole year spent writing documents, attending meetings, performing (a few) lab experiments, and doing more than a bit of project administration, and on the other hand shooting weddings and other photo assignments, editing the pics, and publishing, and finally serving paps to Agata, changing her diapers, and putting her to sleep when at home… plus the last five months with the daily dose of work for the 365+1 Days of NEX-7 project… I’m finally close to leaving everything behind and enjoying some real adventures. It will be just for one week, but it’ll be awesome anyway.
So, here I am, out in the terrace and in the Roman summer (way over 30°C), dressed like I’m going northwards. Because that’s where I’m going. Very, very, very northwards. In the middle of nowhere. No running water or electricity, just a cabin, a lake, and we’ll see what else. And no internet, that’s for sure. So I won’t be able to post the daily shot, I’m very sorry for that. I’ll obviously keep shooting and writing, but I’ll probably publish the posts all together when I’ll be back home.
So, in a week from now I’ll be flying away from everything (but photography) and right into the wild. It will take me around 22-24 hours of travel, I’ll fly over a large portion of the globe, and I’ll meet with a bunch of cool guys. The rest will simply be:
LEGEN…
wait for it
… DARY!!!
sounds good to me… it's really important to break out of the loop every now and then.
have fun!
😀
Well you look the part of a northern hiker, bet you were sweating your a$$ off when you took the picture! I got the 16mm 2.8 for 141 euros, it does have some toy lense quality to it, but stopped down to 4-5.6 its not bad. The guy who sold it to me echoed you in saying that it was horrible on the nex-7 and that he wanted the CZ 1.8 instead. In Canada its around 1200 dollars plus mandatory government donation …
