Sometimes I happen to get the shot in the early morning. It’s rare, but it happens. Those days I feel kind of strange. I keep wandering around with the camera knowing that I won’t probably shoot anything. I may take a couple of snapshots of things I want to remember, but nothing serious. Those days are my holidays.
Today, for example, I woke up at 7AM, big headache from the (bad) wine and port from the night before, had a hangover-breakfast (salt and sweet stuff, juices and liters of coffee), and on the way to check-out I saw the orange van.
I don’t know if it stays everyday in front of the hotel (the place is called Van Oranje, so it would make sense), or if a color-genius decided to park his colorful beauty in such a perfect position. I took the shot, reviewed it, and finally realized that it was a holiday.
When the project meeting finished I moved to Leiden to pay a visit to Dario and family. Now I’m here, enjoying their company, waiting for a few extra friends to gather before going for a massive drinking somewhere in town, like in the good old times…
