To beer or not to beer: that’s not really a question. Since living in the Netherlands, seeing a cold and damp beer turns me thirsty. It doesn’t work with all the beers, though, especially not with the brownish, sweetish ales, but show me a picture like this, of a bunch of naked wet blonde lagers and I’ll start to feel like I just crossed the Sahara desert with nothing else to drink than a handful of sand, my throat will start burning and my mouth watering. I don’t get yet all weird like Homer Simpson, though.
Busy day, as usual, but I found some time to work on the set-up of the photographic studio. After a lot of looking I think I’m going for the Manfrotto Expan system hanged on the ceiling. Did any of you try it or have other options? Right now I have on my Amazon’s chart Manfrotto’s background triple hooks 045, a couple of 046MC drives with metal chains, and a couple of vinyl background, one white and one black.
I’m going with the vinyls because they should shade the light coming from the terrace, which would otherwise backlit paper or cotton backgrounds. Due to the shape of the studio (basically long and narrow) I don’t think I can fit anything much larger than a couple of meters. That should be enough anyway for the use we intend to do of the studio, basically still-lives and portraits.
I’m so excited. Proper and ready to use backgrounds will unload a lot of new photographic opportunities and creative options. Some of which surely will get into the 365 🙂
