I have to be totally focused on studio portraying or my head goes elsewhere. Today, with the help of Julia and Claudia, I worked on three new light schemes and a bunch of poses, I tested some more aggressive post production techniques, and I ended up with four sheets of good proofs and five final shots, which I published on my Flickr page. I even opened a dedicated set for studio portraits, where I collected all the studio shots of the last days. I think it’s nice to see them all together.
I chose this one for the project because I find it simple and powerful at the same time. I used three lights, a hair light over the model, a main light in front of her, just under the chin, and a background light behind.
I hope I’ll be able to put all this studying and practice into good use one day. Right now, if I’m not focused on photography my head goes elsewhere. And here it goes. It’s an early goodbye for today, folks.
