If you read yesterday’s post you know in which crappy situation my co-workers and I are living due to the delay in salary payments and the chance that all of our contracts won’t be renewed for 2013. The company blames entirely the Regional government of Lazio for not reimbursing the services provided in name of the public health. Fact is, the company directorate announced a couple of weeks ago that without any corrective action by the government they will close all the thirteen clinics in Lazio by the 31st of December.
Today we were all waiting for the crucial meeting between the Region and our president, but at the very last moment the government suddenly canceled it. I assisted to the most depressing Christmas speech ever heard, and the deep discourage on my co-workers faces.
Leaving the office in the evening, ready to enjoy Christmas with my family, I took a shot of the entrance. Never as in that very moment I’ve been glad for having a substantial “plan B” in my life. But if I put myself in those forty-something co-workers shoes for which a plan B has never been an option, I have the creeps.
