Today was dedicated to Agata playing with all the new toys. We put all the ones for babies in a box, and replaced them with the new ones, appropriate for little girls. She suddenly prefers, to colorful things which spin or make noise, to feed her doll and to put her asleep, or to put the little blocks one over the other, plug them into the right holes, or to play with this little Hello Kitty in her 59-piece house.
Unfortunately, she doesn’t really know how to use it and constantly ends up tearing it into pieces. Which simply means that I have to reconstruct it every time.
Anyway, it’s really impressive how quickly she grew up in her behavior in the very last weeks. She now understands almost everything we tell her, even quite complex sentences, and her vocabulary is getting richer and richer. The main limitation is in her ability to pronounce all the different sounds that are required to speak our language, hence she practices a lot. Basically, she speaks this sort of alien language all day long, but more she does it, better she gets in speaking Italian. It’s incredibly fascinating.
