The year 2013 finally started, and I’m glad I could enjoy its very first day in my favorite way, that is, taking some free and quality time with my family. Yesterday we arrived on the mountains that it was already dark, but today, together with the friends who are staying with us at Pescocostanzo, we left home before lunch and brought the kids to get some precious fresh air and to play.
Luckily, Agata is finally old enough to have fun with the snow. We found this nice place on the mountain, very family oriented, where you can rent a sleigh and use a moving sidewalk to get uphill with it. Agata loved the sleigh, the speed, the snow. And the food at the mountain dew too, where we had some polenta and arrosticini…
So, here’s the shot, after a long day playing on and with the snow, after a rich lunch and a nice snack, Agata walks around the dew, playing with the other baby kids around (after all, this is a family place), and stumbles on my camera, right under the table. God bless the tilting screen of the NEX-7 for making these photos so easy to take. If I had to knee under the table Agata would have immediately run to me, instead of standing and staring at the camera long enough for me to focus and compose.
So, 2013 has started, each of its 365 days holds a promise, and maybe a shot. I’ll see about that.
