Dinner time seems to be the sole free time we get during these days. Sure, we have a few coffee breaks and lunch breaks during the meetings, but they get totally absorbed by skype-ing home (I need to see my daughter at least once a day!), publishing the daily post for the 365(+1) Days of NEX-7 project, and, obviously, drinking coffee and eating lunch. Enough to explain why the daily shot is, again, taken during dinner time…
This time we have been invited to eat at “La Cucina” (literally “The Kitchen”), a fancy Italian restaurant in Enschede, the Netherlands. The day has been longer than yesterday because we started very early in the morning and ended the meeting just around half past six in the evening. I was completely exhausted, in urgent need for a glass of wine and some photography.
The restaurant’s name wasn’t given by chance. Upstairs the customers sit in a nice and cosy atmosphere, while the two cooks prepare their dinners in an open-space kitchen. OK, the food we got wasn’t close to the real Italian cuisine, but it wasn’t bad either, surely well presented, and, as usual, the company of the project colleagues made it up for a pleasant night.
