Thirteenth day of “Meet Shadow”.
It started raining yesterday night. It hasn’t stopped since. At first it was a storm, a heavy downpour, which flooded most part of the city, so when this morning people woke up they found themselves without metro, trains, and with many roads closed due to overflowing. We work from home, Claudia and I, so we didn’t care much, besides having to drive Agata to and school this morning instead of walking her. Well, I also didn’t get my order from Amazon because the whole transportation services collapsed, and not only in Rome. But, you know, now real harm.
This continuous raining means a continuously wet dog, however. Ombra doesn’t seem to care about rain, for what matters, but our house cares about wet paws and dripping tail, which means I have to dry her off with her towel every time she gets in. Plus, she needs to run and play and she need to do that in company, which means that I have to stay under the heavy rain throwing stuff for her to retrieve. The (very) big terrace is proving itself quite effective for these tasks, still I would so much prefer to take Ombra for a long walk and a run to the park, bringing Agata along. So long, we’ll all have to wait till the sky empties over the city. I just hope it won’t take too long.
