The courtyard, finally open. Wide, empty, and dark.
Working from home in the morning, working from the office in the afternoon, back home in the evening, the shot in the courtyard, then quality time with Agata, some playing, a long walk in the neighborhood, back home, time to put Agata in her pajama, time to give Agata her food, time to watch cartoons with Agata.
And, finally, time to drive the whole family to my friend Lorenzo, the musician-chef (or chef-musician? I’m not sure what he is right now…) to enjoy another of his incredible dinners. When we arrived Agata was still awake, so I kept driving for another fifteen, maybe twenty minutes, around. Lorenzo now lives in the countryside within the city ring, an area which on winter nights gets foggy, lonely, and incredibly moody. I loved driving through the dimly lit roads that cut through the fields and woods, setting my own pace, with Claudia on my side, waiting for Agata to finally fall asleep.
Needless to say, the dinner was excellent, all super-fresh-fish based, starter, first course, and main course. Lorenzo is getting unbearably good at cooking…
