Nineteenth day of “Meet Shadow”.
Finally, after almost two weeks, the sun shone once more in the Roman sky. And finally, after almost two weeks, Ombra could enjoy the kind of physical activity she strives for. A long walk around the streets of the neighbourhood, which are always good to teach her how many different shapes, colors, smells, and noises can the humans be or do. Then a little run. Then some warm and comfortable chewing. And finally an intense session of playing, chasing, and retrieving, with the ball, the flying disc, and whatever other item we could find. We made a few breaks while playing, so she could relax and gather her energy, but we kept playing until she had enough of it. Enough of playing, enough of running, enough of chewing. What does remain of a puppy when it doesn’t want to play, run or chew? Sure, there’s appetite, but not much more, and so Ombra, after slurping her dinner, crashed on the ground and used her last energies to follow me around the house, just to regularly crush at my feet anytime I stop. So, here she is, under my desk, while I’m writing this post. I must admit, I’m exhausted too.
