Milan city center, with Stella and Samuele, the bride and the groom, heading to the reception of their beautiful Jewish wedding. Stella saw our photos from the other Jewish wedding we shot last October, and was so fond of them to kindly ask us to travel all the way to Milan to photograph her wedding too.
This time I knew what I was heading to, all the families, the rituals, the disco-dinner, the crazy dances, etc. But, for as much as I can be prepared, I will always enjoy the deep immersion into others’ culture, family rules and interactions, and emotions. Every wedding is an incredible journey into others’ worlds.
This time the new factor was the city of Milan, the “other capital” of this country, the “European” city in Italy. So I wanted to include Milan in the wedding shot for this project, and I did it having the couple enjoying a walk just in front of the bride’s hotel, at via Montenapoleone, the heart of fashion shopping in the heart of Milan, the city of fashion.
The fact that the street was decorated with big red hearts for the upcoming Valentine’s day made the scene romantic just to the right point. A perfect final wedding shot for the project, urban and sentimental at the same time. A big hug to Stella and Samuele, for their love to always warm their hearts.
