He’s my best-mate. One of few. He works for UNICEF in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which means we see each other very rarely. When he happens to be in Italy, he loves to enjoy his time with friends, food, and wine. Good friends, good food, and good wine, when it’s possible.
He was my best man at my wedding, and now I’ll be his best man at his. He’s in Italy for a couple of weeks just to fix the last few things before his wedding, scheduled for May. Since he’s around, we organized his bachelor party, and we’re driving him around the beautiful hills and towns of Umbria, one of our favorite Italian regions, having only excellent food and excellent wine.
So, here he is, at Città di Castello, the gorgeous little town that gave birth to the actress Monica Bellucci, looking through the window at his friends inside the restaurant “Vineria del Vasaio”. He’s already tipsy, but mostly happy knowing that he has other two days ahead filled with our company and great time. Obviously, as for any respectable bachelor party, he has no idea of what is waiting for him. Having the “groom-to-be” happily scared is a big part of the whole thing.
I continue to marvel at the way you capture light!
hey Michael, thanks!!!
Love that window, looks like a cool place! Hope you had a good slightly wild time 🙂
