Thirty-First and last day of the “I’m Batman” theme, this project ends but a new week starts. I like to think that all the Batmen and Batwomen in the world washed their mask on Sunday and got it clean and dry today, just in time to return to their heroic jobs and activities, where they help the city going on, every day, fighting their foes, keeping us safe. A functioning citizen is way more useful than any super-hero!
I had a lot of fun this month, and looking at the internet traffic I know you enjoyed it too. The next monthly theme starts tomorrow so stay tuned and see you all!
It was maybe not the most serious theme but I must say I enjoyed it the most so far. Brilliant work all the way through! 🙂
By the way, how did you do this? Did you plan all the shots way ahead and prepare for them with the models or were they more spontaneous? Are the models your friends and acquaintances or did you ask random people in the street? Either way, I can’t even imagine myself pulling something like this off. 😮 🙂
Hi Miran, I’m glad you enjoyed the series 🙂
No models where involved, all the subjects are real people doing their real stuff. I started with some friends so to collect some material, which helped me explaining the project to strangers. Anytime I would portrait someone, I would always ask if he or she knew someone else who could have been involved in the project. So basically I tried to have someone to introduce me to potential subjects anytime I could.
