Thirtieth day of “Meet Shadow”.
Wow, tomorrow is the last day of this theme and of the 365! I won’t start thinking about it today, though, or I’ll get all emotional one day in advance… and there’s no point in that. So, let me focus on how my relationship with Ombra has developed in the last thirty days. When I started this theme, Ombra was living with us since one week already. Which makes today five weeks and half of Ombra in our family. Thirty nine days ago we would kidnap her from her mother, brother, aunt and Retriever friend (we didn’t really kidnap her, you know, but that’s how she must have lived it). It took a while for Ombra to understand this was her new home, we were her new family, and how the family was composed. Today it seems she’s always been with us, and I know it does reciprocally. She’s our dog. I know this boundary can (and has to) still grow a lot stronger, but the basis are now solid and we all are happy about them. The “love eyes” are definitely there, aren’t them?
