With a 365 the photographer publicly takes the responsibility of taking and publishing one shot each of the 365 days which make a year. It’s a tough project, which forces consistency and dedication.
I wanted my 365 to be like a diary of my life and my ideas, so I needed a camera to always bring along, wherever I had to go, whatever I had to do. It wasn’t easy since quality and compactness are not exactly synonymous in digital photography.
Finally, for my thirty-third birthday I bought myself a Sony NEX-7, a great little professional system. With it I started my own 365 project (actually a 365+1 project, since 2012 is a leap year), which will end when I turn 34. I made the rule that every picture in the project must be taken with the NEX-7. Each photo gets published along with a short story on the project blog.

Tomorrow we’ll be returning home, a long and exhausting combination of ferry, plane, and car will bring us back to Rome and to whatever is expecting us. […]

This could easily be the topic for a wonderful photographic project (and could have even more easily already been done). There’s something about these squalid, dimly-shiny, uneventful installations, where looka(dis)likes, dull […]

We sleep together, we wake up together, we play all day long, […]

The poshest place in the poshest town of the poshest area of Sardinia. Well, almost. Close from here there’s another harbor, the marina of Porto Cervo, which manages to be posher. […]

Lens: Voigtlander color-skopar 35mm f2.5Camera: NEX-7, ISO100, f4, 1/2000, raw Another postcard from Sardinia, this time a proper sunset-sea-coastline-silhouette postcard. The fact is, this place is so magic I couldn’t resist. I mean, look at the shape of those rocky hills. And at the (lack of) clouds. […]

Sardinia is a wonderful land, ruled by a gentle wilderness, warm air and calm breezes. As in any […]
