I spent the day at my office, working on several ugly documents, answering to emails, but mostly yawing. By the end of the day I grabbed the […]
With a 365 the photographer publicly takes the responsibility of taking and publishing one shot each of the 365 days which make a year. It’s a tough project, which forces consistency and dedication.
I wanted my 365 to be like a diary of my life and my ideas, so I needed a camera to always bring along, wherever I had to go, whatever I had to do. It wasn’t easy since quality and compactness are not exactly synonymous in digital photography.
Finally, for my thirty-third birthday I bought myself a Sony NEX-7, a great little professional system. With it I started my own 365 project (actually a 365+1 project, since 2012 is a leap year), which will end when I turn 34. I made the rule that every picture in the project must be taken with the NEX-7. Each photo gets published along with a short story on the project blog.

First of all, I have to keep in mind that I always have to do the math when trying something highly technical. “High speed photography”, for example, is so called due […]

Lens: Voigtlander color-skopar 35mm f2.5Camera: NEX-7, ISO1600, f3.5, 1/8, vivid Today it was “one of those mondays”… luckily I had a meeting with a couple which is looking for a wedding photographer, so at half past six I left work for good. I know the bride follows […]

Lens: Voigtlander color-skopar 35mm f2.5Camera: NEX-7, ISO100, f2.5, 1/80, vivid Apparently this is the week-end of final execution of longly tentatively planned activities. Yesterday we went to see Steve McCurry at MACRO, today I had a photo-shoot with Mario Sgueglia, an amazing Roman Actor. Mario and I […]

I’ve got my haircut, then we had lunch at my parent’s place, left them Agata and went with my sis to see a photo exhibition. It is something we tentatively […]

Lens: Minolta 50mm f1.4 AFCamera: NEX-7, ISO100, f16, 1/160, vivid Two days ago, at day eighteen, I “incidentally” dropped my father’s old Zenit-E in the bathtub while taking the drowning self-portrait. I thought that these cameras were so tough that they could have been easily dried and […]
